 SGodley Architects is a growing, small practice looking for a talented intermediate-level designer with (ideally) 5-8 years of professional experience to join us. Our work includes adaptive re-use, commercial, cultural, multi-family residential, government and retail projects. This position requires excellent communication skills, initiative, and a passion for problem-solving.

 The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a great design sensibility, and has proven experience in preparing construction documents, producing visualizations, and developing presentation materials.

 Proficiency in Building Information Modeling is essential, along with a solid sense of humor and enthusiasm.

 For consideration, please submit: a cover letter, resume, work samples (portfolio or website) and references. NOTE: This opportunity is for remote talent that resides LOCAL to the DC/MD/VA metro area only . Primary Roles &#38; Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 
 - Work closely with SGodley Architects colleagues, principal, and clients. - Perform field surveys and organize acquired documentation. - Prepare architectural drawings, renderings, presentations, notes and meeting minutes.&#xa0; - Review and coordinate specifications and submittals developed by consultants. - Code research and assisting in obtaining approvals from AHJ and related agencies. 
 
 Required Proficiencies - High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). - Enscape or Revit- compatible rendering software.&#xa0; - Demonstrated project delivery experience, including production &#38; coordination of drawings for all&#xa0; architectural phases. Interior design experience a plus. - Understanding current building codes and demonstrated ability to analyze and prepare a code report,&#xa0; applicable to the project. - Strong team communication and client interface skills. - Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Applicant must have U.S. work experience. - Ability to successfully manage time and work in a remote environment. Minimum Education &#38; Training 1. Bachelor/Master&#8217;s degree in Architecture (or related field) from an accredited university 2. Minimum 3 years of professional working experience.&#xa0; Ideal candidate will be working towards licensure.
